Community Update: Summer 2025

This community update highlights how Compassion Connections Foundation continues to support families in Selkirk and across Manitoba through donations, fundraising events, and local community initiatives

The past few months have been incredibly busy behind the scenes here at Compassion Connections — and we are so grateful for the continued support from our community.

From wildfire donation drives to scholarship programs and volunteer support, our community continues to show up in incredible ways. With our new fundraising events, and ongoing initiatives, we’ve been working hard to support families when they need it most.

We’re excited to share that we’ve introduced new poker fundraisers, and the response has been amazing. Your support, participation, and generosity continue to help us grow and reach more families in our community.

Over the past few months, we have been able to give back to families and individuals facing difficult circumstances — providing support, relief, and care during challenging times.

Every act of kindness, whether big or small, truly makes a difference.

As always, we want to be transparent and respectful. Not all families we assist are able or comfortable sharing their stories publicly — and we honour their privacy.

Additionally, while we strive to help as many people as possible, not all applications meet our eligibility criteria. In those cases, we do our best to provide referrals and guidance wherever we can.

Compassion Connections is a registered non-profit organization. We rely on the generosity of our community through donations, fundraising events, and volunteer support to continue this work.
